Your opportunity 

Are you passionate about helping to shape the future of Australian dairy farming? As our technically skilled and forward-thinking Learning Designer, you will play a pivotal role in turning research and established knowledge into practical services and resources to enable Australian dairy farmers to strengthen the profitability, resilience and sustainability of their businesses. 

This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of extension resources - making a real impact on the sustainability and profitability of the dairy industry. 

Key responsibilities 

• Design & Develop Extension Services: Translate science into farmer-friendly tools, training, and resources that drive practice change. 

• Collaborative Development: Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to co-design and deliver impactful programs tailored to diverse farming systems. 

• Strategic Planning & Evaluation: Contribute to pilot programs and embed evaluation frameworks. 

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across the industry to ensure services meet farmer needs and support adoption. 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will bring the following: 

• Degree in agriculture, environmental science, or related field (postgrad or on-farm experience highly regarded). 

• Deep technical expertise in a diverse range of dairy farm systems. 

• Experience in developing and delivering extension or education programs. 

• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex science for practical use. 

• Collaborative mindset and ability to work across diverse teams and stakeholders.
